Wild Wadi Waterpark will reopen its doors on Sunday, November 1, welcoming guests back for a new season of water rides and family entertainment at its well-known location in Jumeirah, next to Burj Al Arab.
The reopening marks the return of one of Dubai’s longest-established water attractions, where families, groups of friends and thrill-seekers can spend the day exploring more than 30 rides and attractions. The park caters to different ages, with everything from steep water slides and wave pools to quieter waterways and dedicated play areas for children.
First opened in 1999, Wild Wadi holds a special place in Dubai’s tourism history as the city’s first waterpark. For more than 25 years, it has welcomed residents and tourists looking for a day of outdoor entertainment, building its reputation around a combination of adventurous rides, family activities and a setting inspired by Arabian folklore.
Water Slides, Wave Pools and Family Adventures
Among Wild Wadi’s most recognizable attractions is Jumeirah Sceirah, a high-speed free-fall slide known as one of the tallest and fastest of its kind outside North America. It remains a highlight for guests looking for a more challenging experience.
The park also features a range of other water rides, including attractions designed for groups and families who want to share the experience together. For those who would rather take things at a slower pace, the wave pool and gentle waterways offer a different way to enjoy the park.
Younger guests have their own areas to explore. Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon, designed specifically for children, combines smaller slides with interactive water activities, giving families with young children a place to enjoy the day.
Away from the rides, Wild Wadi provides private cabanas for guests who prefer additional comfort and privacy. The waterpark also has more than five dining options, allowing families to take breaks for food and refreshments during their visit.
With activities spread across the park, guests can move between the more adventurous attractions and quieter areas throughout the day.
A Dubai Landmark With Roots in Arabian Storytelling
Part of Wild Wadi’s appeal lies in its distinctive theme. Rather than following a conventional waterpark design, the attraction draws on the adventures of Juha, the familiar character from traditional Arabian stories.
That influence can be seen throughout the park, where storytelling and water-based entertainment come together. It is a concept that has been part of Wild Wadi’s identity since its opening and remains one of the features that distinguish it from other leisure attractions in the city.
Its position in Jumeirah is another defining feature. Situated beside Burj Al Arab, one of Dubai’s most recognizable landmarks, the park occupies a prominent location within an area known for its hotels and tourist attractions.
Over the years, Wild Wadi has remained a familiar destination for families, offering activities for children alongside some of the more demanding water slides enjoyed by older guests.
