The Al Shindagha Museum, the largest heritage museum in the UAE, has clinched the 2025 Travelers’ Choice Award from Tripadvisor after receiving glowing reviews that put it among the top 10% of cultural destinations globally.
Spanning over 80 historic houses and featuring 22 pavilions, the museum guides visitors through life in Dubai from the mid‑19th century up to the 1970s. It showcases traditional lifestyles, heritage artefacts, oral histories, and archival photography, all telling the story of the city’s roots and its remarkable cultural journey.
According to Abdullah Al Ubaidli, director of Al Shindagha Museum, this honour is not just an award but international recognition of the museum’s role as an educational and interactive cultural space. Many of its exhibits derive from contributions by over 100 members of the local community, making the museum deeply rooted in the living heritage of Dubai.
This achievement underlines Dubai’s growing reputation as a global hub for culture, creativity and heritage tourism, with the museum helping to highlight both local identity and shared history on the world stage.
