His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, announced the launch of work on a new global humanitarian project: the establishment of the world’s largest endowment-based date-processing factory, aimed at supporting efforts to combat hunger and malnutrition in the world’s most vulnerable regions.
The project falls under the Mohammed bin Rashid Initiatives and is being carried out in cooperation with a number of partners. It seeks to transform dates into a high-value food product capable of reaching children suffering from malnutrition.
His Highness stated on his account on X:
“Mohammed bin Rashid Initiatives, in cooperation with partners, has begun work on the world’s largest endowment-based date-processing factory. The goal is to produce 150 million date-fortified food units annually, dedicated to children suffering from malnutrition and to combating hunger in less fortunate communities. God has blessed us in the UAE and the region with this blessed palm tree. We lived on it, and many communities have lived on it. Today, we seek to transform it into a high-value food product that contributes to combating hunger around the world. And God is the source of success, first and last.”
