The UAE has continued to stand out for the speed of its internet services, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai ranking among the world’s best for both mobile and fixed connections during the first seven months of 2026.
The latest figures show how far the country’s telecom infrastructure has developed. Local operators have continued to improve their networks as demand grows for faster, more reliable connections across everyday services, business platforms, and digital applications.
Abu Dhabi Tops Mobile Internet Rankings
Abu Dhabi ranked first globally for mobile data speeds at the end of July 2026, with speeds reaching around 695 Mbps, according to network performance data.
That result puts the UAE capital ahead of major cities around the world and reflects the strength of its mobile network, particularly as 5G services continue to expand.
Dubai also remained among the global leaders, taking fourth place worldwide with mobile internet speeds of around 507 Mbps.
Together, the results show the strength of mobile connectivity in the UAE, where users can access fast internet for daily browsing, work, entertainment, and a growing range of digital services.
Abu Dhabi and Dubai Also Lead in Fixed Internet
The two cities also performed strongly when it came to fixed internet.
According to the global Speedtest index, Abu Dhabi and Dubai remained the fastest in the Arab world and the Gulf.
Abu Dhabi recorded fixed internet speeds of around 404 Mbps in July, placing it second globally.
Dubai reached about 346 Mbps, earning fifth place worldwide.
Both cities also saw better speeds than they had recorded around the middle of the year, showing that network performance is continuing to improve.
