Dubai Police General Command, in cooperation with Digital Dubai, has launched the AI Assistant System for Shift Management, in a move aligned with the UAE’s efforts to strengthen its leadership in adopting artificial intelligence technologies and using them to advance government work systems. The initiative also supports the Dubai Government’s vision to accelerate the use of AI applications and build a smarter, more efficient, and more proactive government.
The launch was attended by Major General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administration Affairs, and Matar Saeed Al Hemeiri, Chief Executive of the Digital Dubai Government Establishment, along with a number of senior officers and officials from both sides.
Artificial Intelligence Supports the Development of Institutional Work
Major General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad said the launch of the system reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to continuously developing its institutional work framework in line with the Dubai Government’s direction toward comprehensive digital transformation and the use of artificial intelligence to build more efficient, flexible, and proactive operating models.
The use of these technologies contributes to enhancing operational readiness, improving resource management efficiency, and strengthening Dubai’s position as a global model in adopting future technologies and using them in government work.
He said: “At Dubai Police, we view artificial intelligence as a strategic enabler for developing work, improving the efficiency of human resource utilization, and enhancing the ability of leadership teams to make faster and more accurate decisions based on data.”
He stressed that Dubai Police will continue adopting digital and smart solutions that support sustainable institutional excellence and strengthen its readiness for the future.
Dubai Police also continues to develop its internal services related to human resources, as well as its external services provided to members of the community, in line with the Dubai Government’s aspirations to build a smarter, more efficient, and more proactive government, while continuing its cooperation with Digital Dubai to support comprehensive digital transformation.
A New Model for Government Digital Transformation
Matar Saeed Al Hemeiri, Chief Executive of the Digital Dubai Government Establishment, said: “The launch of the AI-powered assistant system for shift management represents a practical model for the new phase of government digital transformation, in which we are moving artificial intelligence from being a tool that supports task performance to an integrated capability that contributes to redesigning processes themselves through understanding needs, analyzing data, anticipating changes, and turning them into actionable plans and decisions. The goal is not to add a technological layer to an existing process, but to use technology to reshape the way work is carried out so that it becomes smarter, more flexible, and more efficient.”

System to Be Rolled Out Across Dubai Government Entities
The AI-powered assistant system for shift management will be made available to government entities across the Emirate of Dubai, allowing the benefits of the technology to be expanded and its use to be strengthened on a wider government scale.
Rolling out the system is expected to support Dubai’s vision of a more proactive government that can anticipate needs, respond quickly to changes, optimize resource utilization, and improve operational efficiency.
The system also provides a model for using artificial intelligence to manage human resources with greater flexibility, helping meet the different operational needs of government entities and strengthen their overall readiness.
