As the UAE national football team gears up for two decisive playoff matches in its quest to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the UAE Football Association has launched a special initiative to mobilize fan support.
In partnership with several travel and tourism companies, a limited-time travel package is now available to fans eager to cheer for “Al-Abyad” during the Asian playoff matches against Oman on October 11 and Qatar on October 14 in Doha.
The offer includes:
-
Round-trip flight between Sharjah and Doha
-
One-night hotel stay including breakfast
-
Ground transportation to and from the airport
-
All for just AED 1,395 per person (in a double room)
The package covers two travel windows:
-
October 11–12 for the Oman match
-
October 14–15 for the Qatar match
However, seats for the second package (for the Qatar match) have already sold out due to high demand and limited availability. Fans rushed to book in order to show their support during what’s expected to be one of the team’s most crucial matches in recent years.
According to organizers, this initiative is driven by the desire to create the best possible atmosphere for players and to make it easier for fans to show up in full force. Fan presence is often considered the “12th man” — a vital source of energy and motivation on the pitch. The affordable package was specifically designed to allow as many supporters as possible to attend.
The Football Association hopes that this show of support will give the players an extra push as they aim to secure a World Cup spot — a milestone the country hasn’t reached since its historic qualification for the 1990 tournament in Italy.
This travel initiative is part of a broader national campaign titled “Dream of a Nation”, which includes:
-
Free match tickets for fans
-
Ground transport
-
Special chartered flights
-
Support for fans traveling by car
-
Fan gear and cheering supplies at the stadium
With high hopes and strong support behind them, the UAE national team is preparing to fight for a place on football’s biggest stage — and the fans will be right there beside them.
