During the meeting, the committee reviewed the latest developments in projects and initiatives related to preserving Dubai’s urban appearance and improving public conduct in a way that enhances quality of life and the experience of residents and visitors. This approach reflects Dubai’s understanding of urban appearance as an integrated system that goes beyond the city’s general look to include visual identity, the quality of places, the attractiveness of public facilities, and everyday conduct in public spaces.
The committee discussed a plan to develop a comprehensive lighting strategy for the city of Dubai, aimed at highlighting the emirate’s architectural and urban landmarks while strengthening its visual identity in a manner that reflects the city’s character and global standing. It also reviewed an integrated assessment plan for urban appearance and public conduct, supporting the development of clear standards and systems that help sustain Dubai’s distinguished urban experience.

In addition, the committee discussed the guide for conduct during celebrations and occasions, designed to encourage organized and positive community practices during various events and celebrations.
His Excellency Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi affirmed that Dubai has established a global urban model thanks to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God protect him, which places people and their quality of life at the forefront of development priorities. He noted that work continues to develop an integrated system that elevates the experience of life in Dubai and strengthens its urban appearance and public conduct through initiatives and projects that touch the details of daily life.
Through these efforts, Dubai seeks to reinforce a broader concept of urban appearance, based on the integration of infrastructure, services, visual identity, and public conduct. This approach helps preserve the city’s attractiveness and strengthens its position as a leading destination to live, work, and visit.
