Majed Al Joker, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Airports, said passenger traffic arriving at Dubai International Airport reached 2.7 million over the past two months, noting that the figures reflect the continued solid performance of travel movement through Dubai.
Al Joker explained that Dubai Airports handled more than 6 million passengers during the period from March 2 to April 30, 2026, highlighting the volume of traffic recorded through the airport during this period.
He added that first-quarter figures for the current year reached around 18.6 million passengers, in addition to 88,000 aircraft movements, pointing out that these results reflect the efficiency of operational performance at Dubai Airports.
Al Joker stated that 51 airlines are currently operating at Dubai International Airport, running flights to 192 destinations around the world, which strengthens Dubai’s air connectivity network for passengers from various markets.
He also noted that Dubai Airports recorded strong movement across several markets, including South Asia, Western Europe, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and East Asia.
Al Joker expected traffic to gradually return following the announcement of the lifting of airspace restrictions, alongside continued global demand for travel and tourism. He added that transit passengers will play a key role in supporting passenger traffic growth during the next phase.
These figures underline Dubai International Airport’s position among the world’s major travel hubs and reflect the continued activity of air traffic through Dubai this year.
